I was born and raised on the Isle of Man, a small island known for its tax haven status and love of TT races. Eager for independence, I left school at 16 to join a local accounting firm as a trainee. After a year, I decided to broaden my horizons and moved to England. At 17, I found a job in York, a city I quickly fell in love with.
I qualified as an accounting technician and became a chartered certified accountant in 2016. I gained valuable experience commuting to a firm in Leeds, then returned to York to join a larger independent firm serving the Yorkshire and Derbyshire regions, where I became Director of Digital Finance, managing clients and leading a team.
During this time, I got married and became a mother, which brought new meaning to my life. While the accountancy world has evolved, I believe there's still more we can do to help people thrive in both their careers and home life.
Driven by a passion for change in the industry, I launched Enzo Accountants to create the modern, progressive firm I had always envisioned.
